About the instructor


JoAnn S. Jones is an international movement educator and author of ‘The Vital Psoas Muscle Book’,  ‘The Concise Book of Yoga Anatomy’, and ‘Anatomy of Exercise & Movement’. Over 50,000 of Jo Ann’s books have been sold internationally in 9 languages.  She is a Full Professor of Kinesiology, Exercise Science & Dance, an advanced Pilates teacher and ERYT 500 Hatha Yoga Instructor (Shambhava School of Yoga, Colorado & the Himalayan Institute), Yoga Anatomy specialist, CED educator and Yoga Teacher Trainer of 200 and 500hr trainings through Yoga Alliance.  She has taught throughout the US, in the UK, Sweden, the Netherlands, Prague, Costa Rica, and France.  


Believing that knowledge of the body is a pathway to health and healing is Jo Ann’s main focus in all teachings.  She is a member of the International Yoga Therapy Association, the International Association of Dance Medicine & Science, and PAMA, the Performing Arts Medicine Association, where she has taught many workshops at world-wide conferences.  To inspire people to ‘keep moving’ is her main mantra.
